  • Information about Online Safety

    Internet Safety COVID-19

As UK schools are closed, or run at limited capacity as a result of COVID-19, we know that parents and carers are having to manage their child's use of the technology and help them learn remotely.  This can feel over-whelming, so please see our additional, important information about online safety for children.

This can be found by following the Children's tab - E-Safety.

    Dear parents and carers,

I wanted to write to you to thank you for all your support over the last couple of weeks. As you can imagine we had to react to a fast changing situation, in particular during last week, and with your support and patience with us we were able to keep all our children safe and plan for the school closure.

We received the official ‘Key Worker List very early on Friday morning and as a result of relevant parents responding so quickly during Friday morning, we were able to have a clear picture of which children we would continue to have in school both this week and future weeks.

Due to the speed of events last week we had time to introduce the children to the Home Learning on the website however, we had little opportunity to think beyond the here and now.

I would also like to thank all the staff for their hard work, their commitment and their problem-solving skills with so much to sort out and arrange. The staff continue working both on site and at home for the foreseeable future, supporting the home learning and caring for the children who are needing to attend the school at the moment.

We are thoroughly enjoying seeing all the videos and emails that you are sharing with us. Please carry on giving permission to post on the website.

Thank you again for all your support. Remember we are here to support you ….

  • A New Week

    Mon 23 Mar 2020 Sue Pye-Beraet

    Dear children, parents and carers,

We hope that your home learning has started well and you are enjoying following the team timetables.  I will start a new tab in the children's section called:  A message from Mrs. Pye-Beraet so that I can keep in regular communication with you all.

    Important Message:  Key Workers

Thank-you to all our parents who have made alternative arrangements for their children today and have not sent them to school.  Please can we reiterate the importance of only sending your child into school if it is your only option so you can continue working on the front line.  We must give priority to those who need their child to be in school so that their amazing work as a key worker can continue.

We are all working together to keep as safe as possible and staying at home is the safest option.

    A Rainbow in the Window

Ask your child to draw or paint a rainbow to stick in your front window at home.

With social distancing and schools closing children are connecting with each other by painting or drawing colourful rainbows and putting them in their windows for others to see.

This is a lovely activity I would encourage us to do in the Old Windsor community as a sign of hope and a colourful future ahead.

    Take care and stay safe.
