As writers, we have continued to explore how to write stories in KS1. 

Year 1 have been learning the story 'Monkey See, Monkey Do'

Year 2 have been learning the story 'The Papaya Who Spoke'

This week we would like the children to think about the characters from their classes story.

Bronze - to draw a character from the story.

Silver - to draw a character from the story and add what they say.

Gold - to write sentences that show what the characters say in the story, using inverted commas (speech marks).

An example of this:

The man shouted "Give me back my hats".

"Why are you running so fast, when the sun is shining so brightly?" said the fisherman.
