This week we have been trying to make simple sentences more exciting using adjectives.

Please ask your child to have a go at writing the sentences and including more detail. This could be adding an adjective to describe an object or including some of the words they can remember from the Charlie and the Chocolate factory passage, writing in the style of Roald Dahl.

We have continued to focus on a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop. 

Here are the sentences we have been looking at:

It was Charlie's birthday!

He got chocolate.

He put it in a box.

He opened the chocolate.

He tasted the chocolate.
