Summer Holiday Pack
The biggest way to support your child with writing over the holidays is to encourage them to sound out the word they are trying to write. If you tell them what to write they are not learning. In September, they will not have an adult there to tell them what letters to write. They can do it, they just need encouragement and praise!
Support For Parents
I have put together some guidance which I hope you will find useful to support you, in supporting your child. We appreciate you are not teachers and you are doing your very best to ensure your child is consolidating and learning through this difficult time. Please do not worry if you have been doing it differently, you have been doing a brilliant job and these are some additional ideas to support going forward.
