This week in English the children have been learning a new poem about teachers and their pets. For their homework, we would like the children to draw their own story map for the poem that they have learnt in school. 

The children are very confident in retelling the poem and it would be lovely to see their independent story map once drawn and uploaded on to class dojo. Below is a picture of a story map for a different story so that parents can see what a text map looks like. 

If children would like to complete a padlock challenge they could see if they can write out any  parts of the poem using their story map.
