As part of science week we would like the children to continue their scientific learning at home. In class we have been investigating different forces with a focus on push, pull, friction and resistance. 

All children have been given a paper copy to complete at home, The children can also challenge themselves to list other sporting activities that use push and pull forces.

To celebrate world book day we would like the children to write a book review of their favourite book. Children can add the names of authors and illustrators, with a summary of what their chosen story is about. Remember to use key vocabulary to explain the order of the story. Below is a template and a word vocabulary mat for those that wish to use them.

As part of our English learning on poetry, we have looked at repetitive phrases within poems. This week we would like you to think about the people in your family and write a poem about why they are special. If you would like to use a scaffold, please complete star 1 or star 2 (this is located at the bottom of each page) that includes different sentence starters and a word bank of key vocabulary. If you would like to challenge yourself, please complete star 3 and select exciting words in your poem.
