This week in English the children have been learning a new poem about Hansel and Gretel. For their homework, we would like the children to draw their own text map for the poem that they have learnt in school. 

The children are very confident in retelling the poem independently and it would be lovely to see their independent text map once drawn and uploaded on to class dojo. Below is a picture of a text map for a different story so that parents can see what a text map looks like. 

If children would like to complete a padlock challenge they could see if they can write out the poem using their text map.
