We use a spelling platform called 'Spelling Shed' which helps children to improve their spelling through a structured curriculum and fun, engaging games. It uses a systematic approach to spelling, grouping words by rules and difficulty and incorporates spelling principles including phonics, morphology and etymology to help children understand the science behind spelling.

Children have a weekly spelling session in class which is then consolidated at home with interactive games on the app and a homework task. Children will also complete a weekly quiz of their current word list in class. Each child has their own log in so that their progress can be monitored by both teachers and parents.
