Reading Skills
As well as developing children’s reading fluency, we also encourage children to learn and discover reading skills that help them to become more confident and well-rounded readers. These reading skills focus on inference e.g. demonstrating an understanding of the character’s emotions and actions based on the context, prediction and analytical skills. Below are some powerpoints to support these reading skills at home.
