Admissions
Welcome to our School Admissions and New Starters Page
If you are visiting this page, it is likely that your child is about to begin their first experience of school — the start of an exciting learning journey. We are committed to ensuring this transition is happy, positive, and successful.
If you are considering joining us at another point during the year, or in a different year group, we are equally dedicated to making your child’s transition smooth and welcoming.
We are a first school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, educating children from Reception through to Year 4 (ages 4–9).
We are proud of our school community and invite you to watch the video on our homepage, which offers a virtual tour and highlights our children’s achievements.
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Our Early Years provision offers a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to thrive. Through a balance of teacher-led activities and child-initiated play, we create meaningful learning experiences that support development across all areas.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence, helping children to develop their intellectual, emotional, and social skills. This strong foundation ensures a smooth and confident transition into Key Stage 1.
Applying for a Place at King’s Court First School
All admissions are administered by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM). Children start in the Early Years Foundation Stage in the September following their fourth birthday.
If your child is starting school or transferring from another school, you will need to complete an application through RBWM.
