Wednesday - Multiplying

LO: To multiply a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number.

Today we are going to further develop our understanding of multiplication by working with larger values. Use exactly the same method of short multiplication, but today you will need to multiply an extra digit. 

Bronze Challenge: 

Questions 1-5 on the Question Sheet. Using the interactive dice linked below, generate a few of your own multiplication questions. Roll the die 3 times to generate your 3-digit number. Then roll the die once more to generate the number that you will multiplying by (you can select the option to roll the digits 0-9). 

Silver Challenge:

Questions 5-8 on the Question Sheet. Using the interactive dice linked below, generate a few of your own multiplication questions. Roll the die 3 times to generate your 3-digit number. Then roll the die once more to generate the number that you will multiplying by (you can select the option to roll the digits 0-9). 

Gold Challenge: 

If you are confident with the written method for short multiplication, using the interactive dice linked below, generate 3 of your own multiplication questions. Roll the die 3 times to generate your 3-digit number. Then roll the die once more to generate the number that you will multiplying by (you can select the option to roll the digits 0-9).
