LO: I can count money in pounds.

In today's lesson, we are looking at how to count money in pounds. How much do you know about one pound? How many pence do I need to add together to make a pound? Can you draw the sign we use for a pound? Create a 'mind map' showing off all you know about a pound for a starter, then watch the video above and then pick a challenge from below. Today, our Bronze challenge is a practical activity, however, if you do feel like you need a 'refresher' on coin counting then this is a great place to start! Remember, you can choose to do more than one challenge.

Bronze: Gather some coins from around the house of different shapes and sizes, on a blank sheet of paper, can you draw around these? Underneath each drawing, write down how much each coins is 'worth', you can ask an adult to help you. As an extra challenge, you can cut these coins out and try adding these together, you might even want to set up a shop and give some of your toys a price.
