GOVERNOR......................... ABOUT US

Neil Dodds

(Chair of Governors)

Jinny Gill

Hi, I’m Jinny Gill and I joined as a Parent Governor in 2005 when my son started Kings Court. During my time as a governor I have followed the school through a multitude of changes and challenges. Volunteering my time in giving something back to the local community has been extremely rewarding. As a governor “every child matters” and all strategic decisions focus on ensuring the right action is taken. We also believe education should be fun and having an open door policy for our children to share their ideas and feelings provides a healthy way to support the way we educate every child at Kings Court First School.

(Chair of Finance Committee)

Helen Canning

(Chair of Curriculum Committee)

I have lived in Old Windsor for 35 years and have been a Governor at King’s Court School for the last four. Our sons, now aged 31 and 29, both started their education at the school. Whilst they were here, I was very involved in the PTA and became Chair. Over the years, I have kept in contact with King’s Court, working as a Learning Support Assistant for nine years and also spent a short time working in the office. I have a strong connection with Windsor Festival and, through my links with this, hope to benefit the school with more exposure to the arts and music. I am currently the subject Governor for English, History and Geography.

Joy Montgomery

My name is Joy Montgomery and I am a governor at Kings Court First School. I have lived in Old Windsor for 24 years and know how important a good first school is to the local community. I support the senior leadership team on policy matters and strategic direction and hold managers to account for the performance of the school.  I have had a very varied career, starting as an industrial engineer and production manager in the food industry, then moving to the garment and textile industries as a management consultant, working internationally for several years. Since the 1990’s, I have worked in further education and training, specifically the delivery and inspection of apprenticeships and work-based learning. After twenty years as a full-time HMI with Ofsted, I am now self-employed providing consultancy to training providers and spending my spare time dog walking and horse riding in Windsor Great Park.
